The Old Town - Dubai Creek and Spice Souks
Dubai Creek is the saltwater inlet where the city’s trading story began and it remains one of the most atmospheric places in Dubai to watch daily life unfold. Wooden abras ferry passengers between Bur Dubai and Deira for a couple of dirhams, gliding past dhows loaded with cargo. On the Deira side, the Spice Souk perfumes the alleys with saffron, frankincense, and dried limes, while the nearby Gold Souk glitters with jewelry windows. Together they form a compact, walkable slice of old Dubai, it remains a genuine tourist destination in Dubai for anyone who wants history alongside the skyline.
